Novel studies

I like reading. Novels are good, but I prefer facts over fiction. I like biographies, science fiction, historical fiction... But I'm getting off topic.
I like novels. But I don't like novel studies. I'm supposed to be doing a novel study on the classic story, 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen. It's not a bad book, but knowing that I have to answer lame questions about each chapter after I read it makes the whole thing seem rather unappealing.
I want to want to do it, but I don't want to.
So what do I do?
When I do do it, I get bored, and tend to start to skim over the uneventfull parts. Then when I go to do the 'study' part, I find that I have to go back and reread the painfully boring section. Only to find that that's not the part they were talking about and the section that I had read had no significance at all to the story line. Just kidding. That never happened.
You don't get this post do you?
I guess the whole point was just to complain to the only person that would listen how boring novel studies can be.
