Almost a month... Well... Thats rather sad... I wrote last during VBS... So today we shall talk about what happened the days following VBS... CALIFORNIA BABY!
So, on Friday after VBS and lunch at the church, we headed out... It was about 3.5 hours to the boarder... Then we waited for about half hour/45 minutes before entering our first state... Montana... As we crossed from Alberta into Montana Charter farted... "Ahh, that felt good... My first American fart!" Then we opened the windows and breathed American air instead of American farts...

From Montana we crossed into Idaho where we spent our first night... We were only at the hotel between the hours of 1am and 8am... Before we crossed the boarder into Utah, I took the most amazing-est picture ever... Thing is, I didn't even know it was so good until I looked at it afterwards:

Since we didn't stop too much, almost all of my state pics are taken out of the car window... As I tried to take a picture of a mountain in Idaho, Ephraims sleeping baby face was reflecting on the window... Doesn't it look photo-shopped or something?

After Idaho we crossed into Utah... and the kids sat on what appeared to be a large rocking chair...

Now, here is where the story starts to get interesting... While we thought we would soon be crossing into Nevada... A surprise awaited us... We drove past a "Welcome to Arizona" sign! Who know we had to cross through a 1/2 hour of Arizona? NOT US!

See? Even Ephraim thought it was funny!

After Arizona we finally did get to Nevada... When we stopped in Las Vegas for gas, we were sure surprised at the heat! All us little Canadian kids didn't know what to do in such weather! Wehn we jumped out of the van, my first thought was, 'good thing our resort has a pool!'

By the time we got to the resort in Cali, my Camera had died so I couldn't take any pics till the next day... Too bad... The resort looked so pretty with the lit up palm trees along the drive way!

That night we had tacos for supper in our hotel room before a great nights sleep and a fun but full week!

To be continued...

  1. Wow...that WAS an amazing picture of Ephraim's face in the sky. I thought it was just a few little clouds untill I read the next sentence. It reminds me of the little baby face on tele-tubbies.... such a cute little picture!

  2. Cairo- This is an amzing blog. I love your pics, they are indeed fabulous but what is more fabulous is your writing style. God has given you so many talents and writing is one of them! I was on the edge of my seat waiting to read why you were in Arizona and not Nevada. New information for me too! I hope you have/had a wonderful vaca in the states. Next time we'll get ya'll to come east ok? Or maybe meet in the west?
