Pic - but not of Ephraim

If you know me, you know that I love music. I play in a group called the Bow Valley Fiddlers (or BVF)

See? That's my group. I'm the girl in the front row closest to the left.

I just auditioned again earlier this month... And found out yesterday that.....

I MADE IT INTO THE SENIOR PERFORMING GROUP!!!

YAY MEEEE!

I don't want to get wet.

Well... Since today is the last day (Wow... Didn't realize we were leaving so soon!) I am not going to give you just one pic, but a series I took.... Well, I might do one tomorrow... Depending on what time we leave.... Hope you LOVE them...

hehe... Oh, and even if I don't post a pic tomorrow, I will post, so stat tuned!

Eeew... I got a HAIR in my MOUTH

He doesn't really... But isn't that what it looks like? CUTE...
I love him... And so, to honour him, I will post a picture of him everyday between now and when we leave for Victoria. Maybe tomorrow I can get a pic. of his TOOTH... No, probably not... That would be too much work.... Anyway, it will be cute...

Wow... I did so much posting during the contest, and now that its over my posting just goes (Insert farting noise and thums down here)....
Anyway..... I am sitting here right this second with baby E on my lap starring at every single letter I type... Cutttttttie....
In Approx. 5 hours. 15 min we will get into our big van and head out to auntie Jess' house... I'm so excited...
I have to go, my mom needs me...

THROWDOWN FINALE!

The day of the judging was forcasted to be beautiful and sunny. And when I woke up that morning, I was delighted that it was warm enough to hold the party outside.

But things started changing. (See the clouds over my head?)

And right when the first judges arrived, the downpour started.

By the end of the judging, it had turned back into a lovely day, and we sat outside the remainder of the day. But that's another post.

For now, I would like to introduce my amazing judges (from left to right): Emily, Peyton, Mollen, Sloan, Aspen, Cala, Kayla, Gage and Charter. And yes, it is sometimes confusing to have a Cala and a Kayla in the same room.

Emily and Kayla both have been enjoying food for a loooong time. And though you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at them, they love food and eat 24/7.
Cala and Aspen enjoy food everyday, and like to eat almost anything the foods they like range from breakfast to supper, and from lunch to snacks.

Sloan, Peyton, charter and mollen have all been enjoying food since age 1, and all of them eat on a daily basis. Gage is only a little over a year into the food business, and only got to be a judge because he really likes cheese :)

Each dish was judged in three categories, Overall taste, Grade of cheesy-ness and creativity/style. In between dishes judges were given pieces of bread and glasses of water to cleanse their palate.

The dishes we served were: Tyropita - Judged at 55/81 points. One comment on this dish was that it had too many eggs.

The Twice backed potatoes were judged at 61/81 points and was voted the favourite of one judge.

The bacon cheese spread (served with ritz crackers) was judged a 64/81 and was also the favourite of one judge.
Cheese pimples got a 66/81. Only one point away from winning! It was the favourite of 2 judges.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, your winner. The dish that got a 67/81, and was voted the favourite of FIVE judges: PEANUT BUTTER CHEESE BALL!!
Congrats, tristy! Your cheese ball won! Your prize will be in the mail shortly.

Well, I think we have an obvious winner! Congratulations peanut butter cheese ball!

It's 10 minutes to 10, and I'd better get off the internet because in a little over 3 hours, I have to have 5 cheesy dishes ready to serve to my judges! Stay tuned for results and pictures from the judging! (And a post about my concert tomorrow!)

More fun with THROWDOWN

Well, its noon here in south Calgary, and that means that Throw down is officially CLOSED!
Thank you to everyone who entered, we got 19 entries! Now the fun truly begins! Me, along with my posse, picked out a final 4 who will be competing for the totally awesome prize. It's up to you blog world to pick the fifth and final wild card contestant.
