Coyotes

Some people didn't belive us when we told them about our christmas playmates.
"So, what did you do over the holidays?"
"I hung out with coyotes!"
"Yeah, right!"
"No, I'm not kidding."
"Stuffed ones!"
"No, real. Alive."
"They were probably really far away though, and you just heard them howling."
"No, they came really close to us. I almost hit one on my sled! But they were howling..."

Christmas

I am home from auntie Jessie's! We had the AWESOME-EST time! When we first got there, we ate lunch, then headed out sledding. There are two coyotes that live close to the Jespersen's house. They like to come and play with us when we are sledding. I know, it sounds dangerous, playing with wild animals, but they are just like puppies. They come and prance around us, but won't get too close because they are scared of us. We were screaming when we were going down the sledding hill, and the coyote would howl back at us. It was awesome. Sadly, I didn't have my camera with me.
After sledding we went in the hot tub. Then we had supper, and had our gift exchange. At the end of the exchange I had a little polka dotted makeup bag and two little glass jars. Then me and Haven arranged a cookie/chocolate platter, and we all stuffed our selves.
Some time we also managed to fit in watching home videos from when mom was a baby, a Christmas play, and a whole lot of fiddle.
That was Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day, we woke up to find that Granny had taken one of each of our boots and filled it with little gifts. I got a 'Sadie book' (We all wrote stories about Sadie then granny made them into a book and all the authors got a copy) And a jar of natural deodorant that auntie Jess got me, a little flashlight and a little, tiny container that you clip onto your zipper. (I mean it when I say tiny. You could maybe, maybe fit two tictacs in it. )
Then we had a breakfast of potato's, eggs and breakfast casserole. After breakfast we, you guessed it, went sledding and hot tubbing, then more sledding. We didn't see much of the coyotes today, which was a bummer because I brought my camera both times...
Gramps read the Christmas story to us, and we ate turkey, and tweeties, and lots of good food - like nachos and grampsies chili on rice. mmmmmmm.
We also had a visit from Santa clause. Since when does Santa carry a hunting riffle with him?!
On boxing day, we went sledding, packed up our stuff, said good bye to the Fehlers, had a lunch of Shepperd's pie and a special bread that auntie steph made (Before she left). And came home.
Luckily, I didn't leave disappointed because the coyote came back and put on a show when we were sledding. And I had my camera :)

I'll just throw in some ballet...

So, yesterday I had my big christmas jam... Y'know, we all go around the circle, name a song, and play it...
Close to the end, someone suggested I Saw Three Ships. If you were at Fiddle Fantasia you would remember the Irish dancing during that song? None of the Irish dancers were there.
All of a sudden, I look up, and Mollen is standing in front of EVERYBODY (There were probable 40 or so fiddlers pluss all the parents) trying to do an Irish Jig!
At first it was ok... I kept playing... But as her dance became more intence, and more un-Irish, I found myself not playing anymore, and laughing so hard that I had tears steaming down my face... I do have a tendancy to start sobbing uncontrollably when I laugh. When the song was over, and everyone else joined me in not playing, my friend turns to me, 'Does your sister do irish dancing?'
'NO! That's what makes it so funny!'
Mollen walks back to my mom, "I love my moves... If they do a slow song, I'll just throw in some ballet..."
No. She doesn't do ballet either...

Does any one else smell... Smoke?

Charter had been working on his copy work all day. He was almost done. He had an hour to finish. I was making cookies, so his time was going by in 10 minute chunks.
While the last pan of cookies was in the oven, Charter looks up from his work and thinks, "There is no way I can finish my work in only 5 minutes."
So, thinking he is quite clever, he sneeks over and adds 5 minutes to the timer. There, now he has 10 minutes to finish. He can do that.
The minutes drag by, and he looks up and again, thinks, "How in the world can I finish in only 3 minutes." So he sneaks over and adds another 10 minutes.
Again. "How can I finish? I need more than 1 minute!" He sneaks over, but I hear him this time.
"Charter! What are you doing? Are you adding more time so that you can finish before the timer is up? You can't add time to the timer! There are COOKIES in there!"
His face turnes white. He gasps.
"How much time did you add?"
"There was one minute on the timer when I came over here."
I turn the timer from 11 minutes back down to 1.
"But they would have been done my now."
Oh, really? You mean like 20 minutes ago?
As I open up the oven door, smoke billows out. I slowly remove a cookie sheet. Fanning the smoke away reveals a thin black sheet of what 20 minutes ago would have been quite yummy cookies.
He looks like he might be sorry.
"How many times did you add time?!"
"Umm, a couple?"
Yeah. I thought so...

Mine boooooooooob...

While playing catch in the kitchen, Gage throws the ball as mom's chest. She exclaims, "OUCH! My boob!" He throws is again, "OUCH!! My other boob!"

Now my mom wants to get even. She throws the ball back at Gage, and since he is not the best at catching, it bounces of his belly. He stands for a second. Then his face breaks into a smile. "OOOOWWWWWEEEEE! MINE BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB! OOOOOOCH!" Grabbing his chest.

At least it wasn't MINE boob...

Fiddle Fantasia

Yesterday was Fiddle Fantasia! All together I sold 24 tickets, but only 22 people came because of weather and traffic.

First we had our sound check. We were supposed to be there at quarter to 6 for sound check, but it didn't start till we got there at 6:30.

My Favourite song we played was probably Little Drummer Boy with Peace on Earth. I also really liked I Saw Three Ships. I'm trying to upload a video but its not working...

I have my recital tonight and Granny and Gramps are still here, so I'd better go!

Happenings

All my girl cousins are at the airport picking up Granny and Gramps. All my girl cousins are gone, they are not here. All my girl cousins are going to see Granny and Gramps before me, even though this is MY HOUSE and MY SHOW that they are coming to... Just kidding, I don't care about that... But why am I not at the airport? Why am I here? Why am I not going to be the first person to see Granny and gramps?
Because I had violin this afternoon.
Because I have such an awesome teacher that I would HATE to EVER miss a lesson.
Because I needed the lesson because in the next two days I have one big concert and one recital to play at.
And because I was generous enough to let Robbie sit in my seat. Just kidding. I have no idea where Robbie is sitting...

MYYYYYYY

COUSINS ARE HERE! Yippeeeeeeee! Granny and Gramps are coming tonight too!
Everyone is here for my show! I'm so excited!

Did I write on here that I got my full sized violin?? I DID!!!!

My bow valley concert (Fiddle Fantasia) is in eight days!!! I'm so excited!

Tommorow I have my last BVF rehearsal before all the christmas performances start...

What question are we on?

So, today we did a little history test. Two, actually. Every week we do a post test about what we learned the week before, and a pre test about what we will learn the following week.
After every. Single. Question. Mom would ask what question we were on, to make sure no one(Charter) was writing their answer beside the right number.
After we finished question 10, mom asks, "What question are we on now?" Everyone raises their hand to answer.
Gage, sitting in his high chair, looks around and notices that our hands are up, and his isn't, so he puts his up.
Mom, jokingly asks Gage, "What question are we on, Gage?" Gage, without hesitating answers, "leven" And smiles sweetly.
We all check our books and look at him. He was right. How on earth did he do that?! Either it was just fluke, or he is the smartest one year old I know to remember that the last time we got asked the answer was 10!

Introducing....

Just kidding, the baby's not here yet. What's that? You didn't belive me anyway because you know my moms not due for 10 weeks? Oh... Your smarter than I thought you were...
Well, bye then... That was the one and only reason of this post. To trick you. But since you are smart, I might as well leave.
Good bye.
I'm leaving.
Seriously.
I'm logging oooouuuut.
Bye.

Updates...

Baby- My mom will be 30weeks on Sunday! EEK! We made our paper count down chain to hang by our window this week.

Music- I love BVF! (bow valley fiddlers, in case you didn't know!) Fiddle fantasia is in less than three weeks! AHH! I have SO much music to momorize! December is when we do most of our gigs, so I have to have everything memorized!

Winter- Dad just bought me, Sloan and Peyton matching shirts from Gap that say 'Girls Ski Club' on the front. We decided to save them until we go skiing. I LOVE skiing! And I love our new ski shirts!

I haven't posted since we got home?!

Wow. Weird.
Ok, so at the Crazy Creek hot pools, we stayed in a little condo. (Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, main room with foldout couch and foamy mats to sleep on, pretty much a little house)
The hot pools were SO fun. SO fun.
We stopped at a grocery store and got pizza and bagels for supper and breakfast at the condo. We also had a box of mandarin oranges. The size of quarters. If not smaller. I was going to take a picture, but my Dad said that that was dumb, so I didn't.
Then we came home.
Ok, that's all for now, but I'll post later.

Anne and Hot Pools!

Last night Anne was AWESOME! I liked it because it was really simple, not too fancy, all the props were able to move around on stage, for instance one side of the big set would be Green Gables and the other side would be the store, then the cast members would pretend to be playing tag or something and run onto stage and turn the big set around to show they were in a different room, it was so cool. We sat in the second row, which was awesome. I think if we were in the first row we would have had to look upward to see properly, but in the second row we were pretty much at eye level.
Today Emma and her siblings (and parents) are coming for supper. Tomorrow, we are leaving and staying at a hotel and going to Crazy Creek hot pools!!!!!!!! So fun! We never go to hotels. I'm so excited!

I'm so Excited!

Tonight Gramps is taking us to the Anne of Green Gables play at the theater in Chemainus!! I'm so excited! It will probably be really late since it doesn't start till eight (Yawn, bedtime... :) And then it's an hour long drive home again. We probably won't get home untill 11! I'll be so tired! I'll probably fall alseep on the way home!
Charter is now a crib ADDICT! Thanks alot for teaching him, Gramps. Its NOT COOL at all. If he's not playing ball, he's laying crib. If he's not playing crib, he's playing ball. Gramps gave charter an old ball glove and signed it. Now Charter thinks he is the coolest person in the world! His new vocab. is "Wanna play ball?" "I challenge you to crib, Gramps!" "Woohoo! I beat you!" "Stink! You beat ME!" And so forth.
Today we went to the remembrance day service. Peyton wanted to have her picture taken with 'the guys wearing skirts' But she didn't get one...
After we got home and had lunch, we went out in the paddle boat. There were salmon spawning and jumping around! Cool! I saw a couple that were really big, but we only saw splashes of some of them.
Well, its supper time, and after supper we go to ANNE! YAY!
Cairo

Bookworm. Hat girl. And she answers to poopgirl, too.

"Mom! Check us again! Check us again! Pleeeease?"

"WHAT?!" She is taller than me?" Yup. Two years younger, too.

You may not be able to tell us apart, but here's hint. She is the one in the the old dirty grey hat with the bent rim. I'm the put-together pretty one. :)

She ALWAYS has her nose in a book, but the books I like, she thinks are boring. I like biographies, science textbooks, facts, history books, and she likes fiction, make believe, fantasy, fairy tales. What's so interesting about those?

If you want her to like you forever, buy her a Aero bar. Not the mint kind, she hates mint.

If something is wrong with the TV, she's the one you should call.

"Oh, SLOAN! Oh, SLOAN! My TV is BROKEN!"

No, she's not sleeping. She is trying to look like Gage, I think.

From now on until the baby is born I am going to do a post about each of my siblings every week. If the baby decides to be late, I might have to go to parents, Grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles...

In a Bit

So far, this is what I have done today:
Ate a breakfast of pancakes and hot chocolate.
Played LOTS of music.
Went in the hot tub.
Emailed Dad. & cousins.

Want to hear something funny? Ok...
We were eating breakfast and mom said: 'Gagey?'
Gage, without even looking up from his pancake, raises one finger and says: 'Ina bit!' Now, where did he learn that from?

I'm in Victoria AGAIN! Doesn't it seem like I'm here alot? First we came for a holiday, then I came for my birthday, now Dad has to do work here, so we all piled in for a road trip! WOOHOO!
I don't have any pics on my 'puter yet, but I will once we get home.

Last night we stopped in Kelowna for the night at Gam and Gamps, then today we came to Victoria for the rest of the week.
Gotta go play DUTCH BLITZ!

Hmmm...

This is just because I haven't posted on forever.
I just got a new laptop to share with Sloan and Peyton and it doesn't have any pics on it, sorry, no cuteness on my blog today.
I am working on a series of posts, one about each of my siblings. I can't post them all at once, unless I wait until Feb :) So I'll maybe post them every two weeks. I might even get Sloan or Peyton to do a post about me. Y'know, so you know me, too. :)
Gotta go do school!

P.S. I even have some cute pics, waiting to be posted! Tomorrow...

More pics from Vic.

So, the next day we headed out to Wallace Island... (these pics go with this post)

The huge and hungry sea lion:

With Wallace Island, I took a million times as many as I took at the aquarium. (Which, as you know, happened to also be a million.)

Soo, SOME of the Wallace pics...

Me and Gramps in the old truck we found there:

This is where we docked for the night. (The mamalena is the little one. Funny, it seems so big, but it was the baby there!)

The whole island was covered in Arbutis trees. Granny and I just love'em...

I told you my pics af Starfish and jelly fish were better in the wild!

Granny made some inukshuk's to represent me, her and gramps. (Yes, I am short for my age, but not THAT short, Granny. I am the tiny one...)

Our little picnic on the dock:
The sign I made. I don't think I have one of Grannies. If I do, I can't find it.

Incase you can't read it: Mamalena Me! Cairo B. Cap'n Gramps First mate Granny. And a pic I drew that somewhat resembles the Mamalena.

And lets not forget about our little visitors.

More pics to come tomorrow!

My B-Day trip... PICS!

Remember my series of posts about my birthday trip with Granny and Gramps? Well, you've never seen, MY PICS! Wanna see them? Ok, today's pics match this post-
OK, so, swiss lunch and red capes?

I'm only doing SOME of the pics from the aquarium because I took ALOT. I'm not kidding. Like, a million.

Look at all the BRIGHT colours!

Me with the jelly fish... We had to turn the flash off, so its kind of dark, and a bit blurry, but oh well.

OK, you have to watch this guy eat... SO FUNNY!

Most of my good pics of starfish and jellies and eneminies ore taken in the wild, so I won't do any more aquarium pics.

This is Miles under water at 7:00 PM middle of SEPTEMBER in on outdoor pool... I know... What were we thinking?!

book

Remember when I said me and Granny finished that book that we got half finished from our friend? Well, I never posted pics of it! So, here they are!
Front cover, button my flowers with button removable flowers! This page was already done.

Next comes a bunny that I think looks like a rat! LOL! It has a snap on tail and a bow tie to tie and untie.

Next, a tent with a zipper. Me and Granny did this one all by ourselves!

MY personal fave, an X's and O's game with velcro peices! How cute is that! It was Granny's idea! We did this one by ourselves too.
I can count up to ten! We sewed on half of the buttons and and ribbons.

Next is long pieces of felt to 'weave a quilt' We did this one.

Last page is a dolly with three stands of hair to braid. This one was done.

There, what do you think? Isn't it cute?

Can you guess?

Hmm, looks like someone fell asleep in their snow pants!

S.O. T.I.R.E.D.

You didn't believe me when I said I was tired from building that snow man in the last post. I don't lie, you know.

Ready for the snow! (not me, but someone else!)

Hey! I lost my mitten!

I'm gonna help Daddy shovel!

Hey, Sloan, thanks for helping me with this snow man!

We have to push it, to make it get bigger! Push HARD!

Whoops! I pushed so hard, I lost my balance!

This is so worth all that hard work! Sloan, thanks for doing most of it! Lets go in now, I'm so tired!

Roro!! Roro! Take my picture!!!

Today I was sitting on the couch. My camera was sitting on the piano bench on the other side of the room. Gage was playing in the living room when he saw my camera. Hmmm, that gave him an idea. He jumped up grabbed my camera, handed it to me, stepped back and smiled this adorable little smile. Seriously? Cute...

Thanksgiving pictures!!!!!

Mmmmmm, thanks auntie steph!

OK, all the families played a part in this little heap of cuteness!

All the cousins! Well, almost. There are 20 of us, but one isn't born yet :)

This is the 'Sumo Hay Wresting' I talked about! It got more intense than this video, though!

This is one of the many laughing fits we had. Haven...

And another fit... Did you hear her choke on her candy? That's the best part!

My new blog!

Since I can't put pictures on HSB (with out photobucket, which I think is also annoying!) I opened up this blog! (Psst! Over here, cousins!) I heard (from my mom) that blogger isn't as annoying for that. I will still normally post over there, but only when my posts are words. :)
