I wish I had a video camera built into my head....

Gage opens the door and marches into my room. I feel relieved that he didn't come any earlier as I just finished listening to a live lecture online and he's a bit distracting.
Then I notice the next person. Ephriam marches into my room no more than half a pace behind Gage.

"Hi Gage"

"Hi Roro."

"HHHHIIIIII!!!!!!!!!"

"Yes, hello Ephraim."

"Hi!" He grins proudly at me.

Gage's eyes scan the higher shelves in my room. He knows I have a bowl of candies up there somewhere...
His eyes light up as he spots his prize.

"Um, Roro? Can me and Ephyum have one of those, please?"

I see Ephraim's eyes frantically trying to follow Gage's pointing finger, and when he sees the coveted bowl, he can't hold his excitement. His mouth breaks into the biggest smile I have ever seen, he jumps up and down, or tries to jump up and down, pointing.

"PEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSEEE?!? MEEE SOOOOOOMMMMEEE!!! PEEEEEESSSSSSEEEE!!!" His smile is replaced by a desparate look.
Really, buddy? What's the worst that could happen if I don't get you a jelly bean in the next 5 seconds?

I reach up, "What flavour?"
Gage jumps up and down, "pop! pop! pop!" Ephraim just keeps repeating himself, "MEE SOOOOME! ME SOOME! PEESE!"

I hand them each a candy.

"DAY-DOO" (Ephraimese for 'thankyou')

They suck contentedly on their candies as they file out of my room.

Gage pauses at the door way, "Can I have JUST ONE more?"

"MEEE TOO?!?! MUR?(more) PEEEEEESSSSE!!!!"

What I would miss if I was at public school...

Me: No reason, just that the other day you said, 'I bought you a birthday present'.

Mom: Oh... I bought you a capo. So I was going to steal it back and wrap it so you would be surprised.

Me: nice.

Mom: Yeah, Charter was supposed to sneak into your room and steal it for me.

Charter: What?

Me: Its in my purse.

Mom: OH! Well no wonder he couldn't find it!

Charter: Couldn't find what?

Mom: CAIRO'S CAPO! REMEMBER? You were supposed to try to go steal it from her room.

Charter: I was? when?!

Me: Mom, if you are trying to lie to me, and you're 'winging it', Charters not the best person to get to help you.

Peyton: Hey mom? Were you and Dad kissing last night? Cause I heard laughing... and then silence.

one lovely blog award

K, so I got this blog award from Alisha (Mercy's Miracle)

For some reason, this doesn't strike me as a blog award suited to my blog... My blog isn't the lovely, emotional or even serious type.  The only reason people would ever cry from reading my blog is because they were laughing so hard.

Anyway, Alisha. Since you are my best friend, I will do this anyway ;)
So, I tell you 7 random facts, and then pass it on, and you do the same. Here we go:

1. Every morning when I wake up, I am freeeeezing cold, so I put on long sleeves and a sweater. Once I start school, I cannot stand wearing sleeves. Its the weirdest thing! I can't concentrate (And math needs a lot of concentration, just so you know) when I have sleeves touching my arms!

2. My favourite colour is orange. Sometimes, I'll think my favourite colour has changed to lime green, or yellow, pink or light blue... but nope, it always comes back to orange...

3. My main form of communication with my best friend is facebook... Yeah, sad, right? Its her fault for not moving with me... :P

4. Music is my life... I have an average of 4 or 5 hours of music lessons and practices in a week... I play violin and guitar.

5. My birthday is in 5 days... My first math test is also in 5 days... Happy birthday to me! And thank you for your awesome gift, Alberta school board!

6. I have never been as excited as I am this week for youth group. Seriously. It's not even something special or anything... Maybe just cause there hasn't been youth almost all summer!
I am also excited to have subway tomorrow... I know, right? HOW EXCITING! Between youth band practice and youth group, I don't have time to come home for supper, so me and Sloan are having subs. Am I an easily excitable person if having subway for supper makes me excited?

In case you were wondering, I get a six inch on honey oat bread with white cheese and green peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, banana peppers, pickles... For some reason I think I'm missing something... I actually just get every veggie they have except olives. Olives are gross.

7. I am writing this while listening to my daily announcements for school. Yes, the beauty of homeschooling you can blog AND know whats going on in the school!
Oh, I just remembered! (Actually, Mr. Macdonald reminded me) There is a school picnic tomorrow afternoon! Guess what? I'm not going.

Mollen rushes in from outside into the bathroom... We hear water running... Minutes later, she emerges, proudly displaying something in the palm of her hand.

"Mom!! Look what I found on the side of the road!!!! Its an earplug!!!"

We look at the object... It is, in fact, and earplug. A used, dirty, 'found on the side of the road' earplug.

Me, Mom and Sloan: EEEEEEWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO THROW THAT IN THE GARBAGE!!!!! AND WASH YOUR HANDS WITH LOTS OF SOAP!!!!!

Mollen goes back into the bathroom, and when she comes out this time, her face is downcast...
"It was my best friend..."

Peyton: Uh, Soo... Do I get to go babysitting today? (With the most hopeful look on her face)
Me: What?!

Peyton: do I get to go babysitting with you today?

Me: Um, I'm not babysitting today!

Peyton: Really? Is Sloan going?

Me: No... No one is going, none of us are babysitting anyone today!

Peyton: Really?!?

Me: Yes, really. You can go check my calendar if you want, but I'm pretty sure we're not babysitting today...

Peyton: ...

Was that a dream?!

While at our grandparents, a certain bedtime occurred that changed Gagey's life. He was being put to bed by my mom, when he decided he wanted to ask Jesus into his heart.
"Cause then when I pray, God will  say 'HEY! That's my friend GAGE!'" he explained.

We were all summoned to the bedroom to witness this, and sat quietly while Gagey prayed a short prayer.

As we're all getting up to leave to go get ready for bed, Charter tells Gage:

"And guess what? God loves you so much, he sent Jesus to DIE for you!"

The world came crashing down.

Through wracking sobs and torrents of tears, Gage manages to get out, " JESUS DIED?!?! HE'S DEAD??!"

Smooth, Charter. Smooooth.

You know what would be stupid?

Mom: No Charter, what would be stupid?

Charter: If they made non water proof cups...

You know what I would hate?

Mom: No, Mollen. What would you hate?

Mollen: I would hate it if I had a baby, and he grew up and learned to talk, but he spoke chinese!
