My mom is getting good at crutches...

Before I tell you my story, you need to know a few facts...
A. My mom broke her knee.
B. My mom has to walk with crutches.
C. My mom is not so great at walking with her crutches.

Anyway, to my story.

While me and mom were cleaning up after lunch, someone rang our doorbell. I walked over to answer the door, and mom followed, a little slower, on her crutches.
After talking with whoever it was at our door, we returned to the kitchen to finish cleaning up. All of a sudden, mom is going astonishingly fast! She rips past me at tortoise speed before grabbing hold of the counter and slowing down.(If you have ever seen a tortoise in real life, you would know, they look kind of *out of control* when they run... And they are actually not as slow as everyone says they are.) Sloan, standing behind me, giggles, "wow mom, why were you going so fast?"
Mom looks back at us with a huge, embarrassed grin on her face, "Um, I was out of control... I was falling..." At this, me and Sloan fall into a fit of hooting and howling because, really, she wasn't going *that* fast... Only as fast as a tortoise. (The small one)

Hmm, after reading this over, I think I should make something a little more clear... My mom is getting good at crutches, just not *that* good..

goals...

I like to set goals for myself...
Whether long term, (like, "in the next 10 years...)or for the day, (finish all my school by lunch) I just like to set goals...
Some of my school year goals are starting to get completed... One school goal happened today, one I didn't even set until yesterday! I finished my L.A. book! Hopefully, other goals will start to get checked off too... My next goal is to finish my math book by Resurrection day... Which is next weekend... I set that goal at Christmas time. Once math is completed, I can start to focus even more on my funner subjects like violin, french and reading... (And also guitar, which I haven't been doing much of lately... But I will! (See? look at me... Setting more goals!))
Home school rocks... I can finish when ever I want :)

Seriously

I seriously need to post more often... Seriously...

Ephraim is growing up! He sleeps till 5-5:30 am almost every night... Isn't he GOOD?! His baby acne is clearing up, and that makes him cuter than ever...
If you hold him and look right into his face and talk all sweet and juicy to him, he'll smile and coo back at you... I'm his favourite... He's happiest when I'm holding him... (ok fine, second to mom :) Although Charter insists that he's E's favourite and it just so happens that everytime he finnally gets his turn, E is hungry... Not so, because I can calm him down after charter gives him up... I can't calm down hungry babies...

Gord Stobbe!

On Monday I had my workshop with Gordon Stobbe! We had the wrong address at first, so I was late, but I didn't miss too much...
Today I had a private lesson with him, which was AWESOME!
I had so much fun... Usually with me, a person has to wait 3 lesson's or so before I get comfortable with them, but somehow Gord had me comfortable within 15 minutes! At first he played through all the songs with me on his violin, then he played the piano while I played.
First we worked on the songs from the workshop. (Those are the ones we will do at the dance) Then since we had some extra time (Since I was such a great player I didn't need any extra help, says Mr. Stobbe :) He taught me one other song. (I forget what its called, but he has to send me music for it. Something like Hi-lo or Hi-ho :)
He thought it was so cool that I had 6 siblings, and an even cooler thing that our family (along with cousins) had enough kids to do a fiddle camp, and EVEN COOLER that I was related to Erin. (Whom he knows really well, apparently)
Anyway, I'll write later about the most funnest thing in bow valley's... (Drumroll) THE BORN DANCE!
So excited...

Based on Habakkuk

Today for school we had to write a prayer based on what Habakkuk wrote in Habakkuk 3:17-18, except we had to make equivalent to modern times. (Since olive crops don't effect my life too much :)

Anyway, here's mine!

Though our whole family got sick and the babies don't sleep,
even though my room gets messy and I have to clean my bathroom,
even though sometime's I'm tired and don't feel like getting up in the morning,
even though life can get stressful,
still I will rejoice in the Lord.

Fall for you...

The other day, Charter was out side playing in the back yard on his skate board, so Gage went and found his skate board, too... (Which actually also belongs to Charter, its just a third of the size of a regular skate board so Gage thinks it should be his. Which it should...)
So they played, rolling around on their boards, until Gage fell off. Charter must have thought this was funny, because Gage was encouraged to do it again... Then bring his skateboard inside... "Mom, look! I FALL!!"
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah!"
He climbs onto his skate board, pushes it twice and jumps off, landing on his belly rolling around pretending to be in pain... "Oww! I FALLED! Ooo oooh!" Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
The next day uncle brent comes over with his friend. Gage gets out his skate board. "I fall?" Push, push, "OOOW! I FALLED!"
