Tucking in a 3 year old...

Mom: Ew, what stinks? Did you just fart or is there a poopy diaper somewhere in here?

Gage: I farted! :D
...
Is it funny when I fart?

Mom: Not really, its kind of gross. I don't like the smell of farts.

Gage: oh... I love it... but only the smell of my farts I love...

Peyton: Cai? Do you have a pair of ear phones I could use? I want to listen to those narnia CDs while I fall asleep, but sloan doesn't want to listen to them while she's reading.

Me: I already told you. The only pair of earphones I have are broken, so even I can't use them. And if I did have a working pair of earphones (Which I don't!) then I still wouldn't let you use them, because I'D be using them for listening to music and stuff!

Sloan: So, pretty much peyton cannot use your earphones?

Me: Yeah. Pretty much.

.....

Hmm. This conversating doesn't look very funny typed out... It seemed really funny when it happened...

what I love about holidays...

What I love about holidays is that a nearly 15 year old girl can go out side wearing flip flops, jeans rolled up past her knees and her grandpa's rain jacket to pump the water out of a paddle boat (While its still raining) so her and her siblings and granny can go hunt for treasure. I also love that while sitting in the pumped out paddle boat that you can't tell was pumped out 5 minutes before, getting drenched to the bone (Despite the rain coat belonging to my grandpa) and getting stuck in the mud because we couldn't wait for the tide to come in, she can sing all the verses to 'there's a hole in the bottom of the sea', 'I know an old lady who swallowed a fly', 'The ants go marching one by one', 'down by the bay' and 'lukeys boat is painted green' with out feeling the slightest bit weird.
What I love about holidays is that I can be that girl and no one thinks twice about it.

P.S. I am on holidays right now and having a great time on the west coast! There will be many posts coming (With pictures!) about my time away!

kissing

Bet I caught your eye with my title, hey? haha

This morning, over breakfast, charter announces, "Mom, Mollen said..."

At this, mom stops him and says, "Just cause mollen said I said it, that doesn't mean I did. Ok, what did mollen say I said?"

"She said you said she was allowed to get married, but not date."

Mom: "I never said that. I said I don't want her dating someone that's not marrying material. Like, if there is no way you would marry him, you shouldn't date him. What do you think are some reasons you shouldn't marry someone?"

Peyton: "Like if he was way to young?"

Mom: "Yes, or too old."

Peyton: "But it shouldn't matter how old they are, what if you have feeeeelings for them?"

Mom: "Well, if you're 11, and he's 30... He has problems and I'd rather you not go out with him."

Peyton: "good point..."

Mom: "Any other reasons you can think of?"

This is where Mollen pipes up, in her high pitched little voice, "IF HE'S NOT A GOOD KISSER??!!"

***FYI - This conversation was referring to the future. No persons mentioned are going to be allowed to date for years to come...
Especially mollen...***

Dessert for 17?

I can handle that!

First, you need a HUGE bowl... Ours is about a foot tall with a diameter of one and a half feet. It fit perfectly. If you A. are making dessert for less than 17. B. Making dessert for 17 people who are deciding to eat lightly or are on a diet (Actually, if thats the case... Don't make this... Make fruit salad) Or C. Have a giant glass bowl, it looks prettier in  glass bowl, use a glass bowl if you have one.

Next, you fill the bowl:

Layer 1: just over half of a 9 by 13 cake, cut into small cubes.

Layer 2: 1 package of instant chocolate pudding.

Layer 3: 1 package of  Oreo instant pudding.

Layer 4: 2 cups of whipped cream, slightly sweetened and 1 crushed skor bar.

Layer 5: The remainer of the cubed cake.

Layer 6: Another package of chocolate instant pudding.

Layer 7: Another package of Oreo instant pudding.

Layer 8: 1 cup of whipped cream, slightly sweetened.

Layer 9: 3 crushed skor bars sprinkled on the top.

I titled this "Dessert for 17" but it could also pass as, "Sloan's birthday cake". Or "Dessert for 100."

Mom: EVERYONE CAN HAVE A FREEZIE WHEN WE GET HOME!!!"

All members of the back seat at once, "OOOHH! You bought freezies?!"

Mom: No, but there is a box of them down stairs. Dad must have picked them up...

Me: Uhh, me and sloan bought those with her gift card.

Mom: Oh...

I gave one to Gage the other day...

SORRY GUYS, THOSE ARE THE GIRLS... YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE!
