Mom and I were sitting on her bed, talking about how we think Ephraim should have a baby sister.
Mom: "Yeah, but Dad says I can't have another baby..."
Me: "Well, maybe he doesn't mean it."
Mom, " But I'm 35! I don't have many years left!!"
Mollen bursts out, "NO YOU DON'T!!!!!!!!!"
Mom: No Mollen, I seriously only have a few years left! Most women can't have babies much after 40."
Mollen lets out a relieved sigh, "Oh, about BABIES! I thought you meant about DYING!"

You know that sense of completion... When you have done everything you needed to get done, and you feel totally at peace with the world because all you have to do it sit and relax for a bit?Yeah... I'm not quite there yet... BUT... Its not 2pm yet, and I have been very productive so far today...
Family Bible reading
Family read aloud
Family poetry (By a poet who writes like he's in grade 6. Not a fan...)
Breakfast
Made homemade natural deodorant
1 Math lesson/activity
Social text reading and elive lecture (the lecture is an online recording)
French language exercises (On a website that has caused too much trouble to be worth it and used almost all of my phone minutes for the month... Oh well, if I need to use the website to pass grade 10...)
Lunch
1 hour and 10 minutes of rollerblading in the crisp autumn air...
The last thing on the list was the most fun. As of today, Sloan and I are making a goal of rollerblading for 1 hour everyday until the first snowfall. (Which I'm pretty impressed hasn't happened yet!!)
Now all I need to do is:
Practice violin and fiddle (Everyone always asks if there is a difference between the two instruments... Between the instruments, no. The difference is the style. In this case, I do need to practice both.)
Clean my room.
Then I will be at peace with the world and sit back and relax for a bit... Or go for another roller blade and get ahead in PE.. :)

EPIC - Longfellow or Captain Underpants?
"Henry Wadsworth Longfellow - 1807-1882
Longfellow was born in Maine, and while still a young man, he became a professor at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he lived for the rest of his life. He became one of the most popular poets of his day throughout the english speaking world. His poem, HIAWATHA, is, perhaps, the best known modern epic poem. "
"THE SLAVES DREAM - by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow"
Me: ITS SUPER EPIC!
Mom: Uh, the slave's dream is?
Me: No, I was just kidding... I just said that cause he wrote an epic poem.
Mom: An epic poem means...
Me: I know what an epic poem is, I did a unit on poetry last year. I just think its funny because 'epic' is a 'cool word' nowadays.
Peyton: What is an epic poem?
Me: Pretty much a long story, told in the form of a poem.
Charter: At the begining of my Captain Underpants book, it says, "The 4th EPIC novel" so is it....
Me: No, Charter. Captain underpants does not count as 'epic poetry'.

Dinner conversation
Peyton: DAD! Tell the kids to stop calling Sloan fat!
Mollen and Charter: WE DON'T CALL HER FAT!
Sloan: Umm, they don't call me fat. And besides, I... Never mind... I'll tell you later downstairs.
Mom: Excuse me? What do you need to tell her in private?
Sloan: Well, it kind of needs to be said in a high pitched annoying voice.
We all glance at Dad. He's not in the best mood, and we all know that Sloan is smart for not doing anything high pitched and/or annoying in his presence.
Mom: Well, could you tell me now? In a normal voice? Even if you just have to say it in an annoying voice later?
Sloan: Kay... " I hate it when other people fight my own battles"
..
..
Peyton: You were going to make me have annoying voice?
(Peyton is famous for saying that lately, as Mollen has become very over protective of her. Even though Mollen is younger by 4 years)

I wish I had a video camera built into my head....
Gage opens the door and marches into my room. I feel relieved that he didn't come any earlier as I just finished listening to a live lecture online and he's a bit distracting.
Then I notice the next person. Ephriam marches into my room no more than half a pace behind Gage.
"Hi Gage"
"Hi Roro."
"HHHHIIIIII!!!!!!!!!"
"Yes, hello Ephraim."
"Hi!" He grins proudly at me.
Gage's eyes scan the higher shelves in my room. He knows I have a bowl of candies up there somewhere...
His eyes light up as he spots his prize.
"Um, Roro? Can me and Ephyum have one of those, please?"
I see Ephraim's eyes frantically trying to follow Gage's pointing finger, and when he sees the coveted bowl, he can't hold his excitement. His mouth breaks into the biggest smile I have ever seen, he jumps up and down, or tries to jump up and down, pointing.
"PEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSEEE?!? MEEE SOOOOOOMMMMEEE!!! PEEEEEESSSSSSEEEE!!!" His smile is replaced by a desparate look.
Really, buddy? What's the worst that could happen if I don't get you a jelly bean in the next 5 seconds?
I reach up, "What flavour?"
Gage jumps up and down, "pop! pop! pop!" Ephraim just keeps repeating himself, "MEE SOOOOME! ME SOOME! PEESE!"
I hand them each a candy.
"DAY-DOO" (Ephraimese for 'thankyou')
They suck contentedly on their candies as they file out of my room.
Gage pauses at the door way, "Can I have JUST ONE more?"
"MEEE TOO?!?! MUR?(more) PEEEEEESSSSE!!!!"
What I would miss if I was at public school...

So, What Did You Get Me For My Birthday?
Mom: Whats makes you think I got you something?
Me: No reason, just that the other day you said, 'I bought you a birthday present'.
Mom: Oh... I bought you a capo. So I was going to steal it back and wrap it so you would be surprised.
Me: nice.
Mom: Yeah, Charter was supposed to sneak into your room and steal it for me.
Charter: What?
Me: Its in my purse.
Mom: OH! Well no wonder he couldn't find it!
Charter: Couldn't find what?
Mom: CAIRO'S CAPO! REMEMBER? You were supposed to try to go steal it from her room.
Charter: I was? when?!
Me: Mom, if you are trying to lie to me, and you're 'winging it', Charters not the best person to get to help you.
